THE SYLVIA RENEE MEMORIAL
The Sylvia Renee Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship which will be awarded to a high school senior at Blanche Ely High School. This scholarship was designed with the belief that every young person deserves to feel like they have someone in their corner. We do not select recipients based on GPA or grades, or other forms of hiearchy and competition. Winners are selected based on creativity, innovation and expression.
The scholarship is named after the late Sylvia Renee Stephens-Dixon, the mother of Dreamers4Change Foundation founder, Derrika Hunt. Mrs. Sylvia Renee is Derrika's deepest inspiration for the work she hopes to do with Dreamers4Change Foundation. Mrs. Sylvia Renee was a pioneer in education and believed undoubtedly in the power of education. She worked relentlessly to make sure that all people, regardless of race, sex, or privilege, received a transformative education. This scholarship is designed to honor her legacy.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE OPEN SOON!
